I graduated from the University of Iowa in May of 2023 with a B.A. in journalism and mass communications and a certificate in arts entrepreneurship. My experience includes one year of reporting for the Daily Iowan and a summer internship for Kansas City magazine. In college, I served one term as the only undergraduate student representative on the Board of Trustees for the Daily Iowan. I spent two years as the Public Relations Director for the Hawkathlon, a University of Iowa event I helped create and spearhead. This was an adaptive fitness event for people with disabilities, and the first of its kind at the university.

I'm from Shawnee, KS,  a suburb of Kansas City. I danced competitively for 13 years and I then worked part-time as a dance teacher through college. I'm passionate about feminism, sustainable fashion, body and health positivity, LGBTQ+ rights, and human rights. I also have many hobbies, like sewing, scrapbooking, reading, and thrifting.
